I believe that both attackers and defenders can develop energies in order throw players off balance through skill derived from the combination of soccer and martial arts. There are several different martial arts that can be absorbed, translated and adjusted to curtail to the training of skills in players, to improve technique, defense, tackling, balance, strength etc..

I believe that element (martial arts) could be beneficial in the same sense they say dance and ballet can benefit things like martial arts, although i believe if correctly coached players can learn and develop all the essential attributes by simply playing and training solely with football.

I dont see any harm in players doing other activities though as i am a big believer in new innovations that can only improve an indidvidual to perform at their optimum level at any sporting activity.

Agreed. I believe though, you are discussing the benefits of cross training.

My study is creating soccer forms with applicable and influenced movements that derive from martial art, yet, do include a ball. Through repetitive skill, it is possible with focus, to use energy projection that includes a ball, combined with precision and and understanding of an opponents energy, and using it against them. This throws players them off balance, especially when attacking. The stronger the soccer chi that is built, the more powerful that player is. Football alone can create this, however, focused training that combines these forms, gives players advantages, common players miss.

Are you for real?  What research are you conducting?  Are you currently coaching?  What specific elements of Tai Chi do you use with a ball?  Seems like a bunch of mumbo jumbo.  What research strand are you operating from?

Finding your soccer chi becomes difficult with little faith, diligent focus, passion, and love. Lack of these causes the insecurity which creates the doubt and critical mind to even get close to a strong soccer chi.

I know it sounds a little bonkers but I have my kids Boxing to toughen them up and also improve their fitness and balance. There is far more to Drogba, Ronaldo and Rooney than running after a football. Excellent players need amazing focus as well a footballing skills so I think your going to prove us all wrong. In the West we think of Effort/Reward when sometimes focus/decision is the best thing. Calming kids and teaching concentrate is very difficult so good luck with your research.

I think you should maybe take Drogba to boxing to toughen him up never mind your kids. For a fully grown up adult male to fall over and be in agony anytime anyone even goes near him i certainly wouldnt use him as an expample to kids, especially when he only plays when he's in the mood for it.

A good player on form, complete waste of time when he isnt so not what i would call world class in any way, where as Rooney is a completely different player, stronger, more consistent and basically better all round!
