| Hi, I am interested in doing this course and have noticed that prices differ depending on which association you go with, Is this the same course? eg, Hertfordshire charge £180 whilst Middlesex charge £115. Secondly, can anybody give me an idea as to how the course is run, I believe that you have to run a 20min coaching session (does this happen on the day?) I want to be prepared and not go into this cold, could anyone advise? Cheers, Graham

| Hi Graham, i did my level one last year, it is the same qualification wherever you take it, prices vary probably due to venue hire charges. The course was run over two weekends with one evening session for first aid and one for child protection, the first weekend was a thorough training of all the coaching sessions plus a writen exam , and the second weekend is mainly assessments consisting of a 20 minuet session you have to write and carry out, (you will get a weeks notice and a video to help plan this ), you will use your fellow coaches as players for your session and help them in thiers. I found the course very good it isn't difficult, you don't have to be a football expert to pass,as they will give you all the support you need, you can get a course breakdown from the FA website, i hope this has been of some use and good luck Steve
