Hi Im new to football coaching. I do a bit of life coaching and played Champ Man exclusively, at the detriment of sleep, food and studies, from the ages of 13 to 15.

I am now 21 and keen to become elite pro timezzz.

Hi,

I am Ben, I managed my Sons team in Cambridgeshire from U8 (2002/2003) to U14 (2008/2009 season). Still trying to understand some of the finer points of the game.

Ben

Let's try and remember why we do this!

Hi, I'm Sam.  Got into coaching a few years ago when my daughter's coach was leaving.  He wanted a mum to "help out".  Suddenly found myself the coach!  Had some fantastic support from the club, did my Level 1 and now, since the girls' team folded, I'm coaching the boys U10 team, which my son plays in.  We are due to go 11 aside next season, so I'm in the process of planning a series of training sessions to prepare them for it over the summer.  I passed my Level 2 a few months back.

We have a squad of 20 made up of the A & B teams from this season, and the biggest hurdle will be trying to bring the weaker players up to a reasonable level, so they don't feel out of their depth.  So, we have the hard task of teaching basic skills to some players, whilst progressing the stronger players in the squad at the same time so they can compete at 11 aside.

Sam,

Clevedon Town JFC U10s, soon to be U11s!

Hi my name is Stephen but as there are millions of 40 (ish) year old Stephen or Steves I used Croz. I have been a level one coach for about 6 years. My son's manager left so I took over and found it harder work than my full time job. Controlling all the kids and pleasing the parents is basically full time and you need the diplomatic skills of Barack Obama to kep them all happy. The longer your there the better. The best way to keep the job is keep the kids happy. Hopefully this site will keep the training sessions fresh with the best coaching equipment. It's nice to be on the fields for training instead of the astroturf. Now is when it's good to have the sun on your back. Happy Coaching

Hi everyone

I've been playing competitive football since I was 9 years old. Had a number of trials for professional clubs when I was a teenager and player a fairly decent standard of football in adulthood.

Love the game.

I've now taken on the position of Coach of a Ladies football team who play at a fairly good standard.

I'm taking my Level 2 in June.

Personally think this is one of the best sites around - especially the very generous archived material they are giving away free. Good job guys.

Only down-side is that there doesn't seem to be too many coaches contributing to the forum on a regular basis. I shall try and do my bit.
