I work with specialist youth coaches in Tony Carr, Keith Boanas and Michael Beale. To me coaches like them should be in the England set up in charge of the youth teams. Instead we have Stuart Pearce. I don't think he has the experience of coaching and managing young players to get the best out of them.
There has been a lot of talk about how poor the England coaching system is yet i for one and many more of you are putting time and effort into becoming qualified and getting to the top standard in youth coaching.
More effort should be made to tap this resource rather than hear Sir Trevor Brooking constantly saying that there is a breakdown in the coaching system. Sir Trevor must know how good Tony Carr is yet we still get ex players to take the managerial roles.
My coaching has been advanced massively through working with Keith, Michael and Ted Dale. These guys are outstanding coaches and the amount I have progressed and the understanding I now have of youth coaching shows the work going on that the likes of Sir Trevor are turning a blind eye to.
It's time to change and I know lots of you reading this will feel the same because you too have put the effort in to help youth coaching in this country.
