I am the captain of a brand new under 17 club and we haven't had the best time with the coaches that come in. My dad is the owner of the club and we only opened the club for myself and my friends who would play every Saturday morning just a kick-about through boredom, therefore I know whose who and can relate to him what transpires at training. After three months of searching, our first coach was a blue moon because he had a job and thought of this as a social thing. We offered him payment but he didn't accept and I assume that he thought it was too social for him so therefore he was "sacked" after a about two months for inconsistancy. Thereafter our team hadn't had a coach for about a month. Two of the players, who happen to be my friends, had their brothers come in and they offered to coach us while still at college. The two young guys have been coaching us for a month now with no experience, just information of the net. On Saturday the 8th was our first league match ever and it wasn't one to remember. We unfortunately ran out 10-0 losers and my dad has decided to now search for a REAL coach. What I want to know is, considering they are all my friends, I can gain their attention BUT will it be possible for me to coach them and if so, what exactly should I do? Please Help I'm open to all and any suggestions. Thanks

| your dad is the only one need to take full responsibilities for poor organization and the 10-0 lost.. no excuses! if he's too busy or just for fun, the least he can do is to get some volunteers to help. or get a experience coach to organise. experience coach will help to build up the team and improve everything in the team. included players performance, and also individual performance.. a good football team is just like a good company, need to be proper organize and do every small things right. a lot of footballers pick up coaching or thought they know how to coach without attend any coaching courses or upgrade their coaching knowledge. they thought they know how to coach base on their playing experience, especially parents. but they're wrong. i've seen many coaches or parents like that in my country, they're actually the killer in football, especially at class-root level. beside coaching, i've also seem alot of team without proper organization. ( social team and glass-root team also need organization.  i've seem a coach who ran a glass-root team's project for 10 years under government support. only have few players attend every training session, and the training equipment is only few makers and few balls. that's all he achieve over 10 years!. he's a cheater! that's why i said your dad need to take the blame for being poor organised! sorry about that, because i really fed up with those organiser! anyway, definitely you can't coach now! don't be another player or parent who though so they know much about football or coaching! go ask your dad to get one good coach, AND made sure that you and your dad don't interfere the coach's plan!

| i saw ur mesa, i feel your team need a qualified coach to train the team.Team pperformance depends on the quality of players and level of training and many more.Don't get disappointed .Any way ur team need very well organised coaching .find out a good coach .if u.r. really looking for a coach.i can help u.iam a qualified coach and got good experience in training under 17 team

Aby, can you? It would be really appreciated and would be absolutely great. Although the thing is, considering I saw posts from people in the UK and what not, I must ask, where about are you? I'm in South Africa.

| Read ur message,iv coached/managed u16 and u18 teams for the past 5 years and i would strongly advice u not to get involved with the coaching of tour team. It is great that u wnt to but u are to young and have a lot to learn. If u want to become a coach/manager then wait till ur team gets in a manager and offer to help in setting up training and warm ups and as a voice for your team mates if there is any that needs to be sorted,do this and start to learn from there.Give a few years doing that and u will benifit from it and then be ready to step into management. The best of luck.
