Small sided game to sharpen decision making skills
This is a great small-sided game, which gives your players the option of dribbling or passing to score a point. In matches your players will have to make choices between running with the ball or passing it, so use these soccer coaching tips to sharpen decision-making skills.
Set up tips
In this game you use five gates in a pitch 30 x 30 yards. There are a number of ways the game can be played and scored:
- The player in possession must dribble through a gate to score.
- The player in possession must make a pass through the gate to a team mate.
- The player in possession can use both of the choices above.
The team not in possession must try to dispossess the team in possession, and then use one of the methods above to score.
