Soccer attack drill using 2v1

Players are reacting to decisions all the time in a game - decisions they make and decisions their team mates make. With this soccer attack drill, I am looking for players to support quickly once they have chosen their attacking partner.

Soccer drill set up

It's a 2v1 soccer drill with the starting player passing to the team mate they want to attack with. Once the player has made his choice, the other player joins as a defender and the two attackers have to combine to score 2v1.

Set up a 30 yard square. You need three cones and one goal. In this drill I am using six outfield players and one goalkeeper.

Rotate whichever player is the defender with the starting player.
