Ball manipulation skills are vital for good soccer players. Your players need to be in control of the ball in all sorts of situations so they can create space to score.
Key soccer coaching tip: Practice is the key to success. The younger the athlete, the better.

Mastery of the ball
All players, no matter how young or old, should practise ball manipulation drills. Drilling these skills gives the ability to push, move, drag or manipulate the ball and become its master. Over time these skills will give the player the confidence to be comfortable with the ball in all situations, especially in 1v1 confrontations, giving him the advantage with superior skill and confidence.
Remember, drill repetition is the key and the younger the athlete, the better.
